Implantation should be performed by an experienced dentist. For a long-term result correct 3-dimensional position of the implant is mandatory.

We want you to be fully satisfied with the outcome of the treatment. That’s why we always start with detailed planning based on 3D X-ray of jaws – CBCT. This method accurately shows the width and height of the bone at the site of the planned implantation, it helps to detect the location of important anatomical structures, and thus reduces the risk of complications.

Another method we often use for our patients is so-called Dental Implant Navigation. With this method, the implant is virtually placed into the ideal position in the special software according to the CBCT scan. Subsequently, an individual surgical guide is fabricated which accurately leads the drill and then the implant to the ideal position. The whole procedure is more precise, faster and often helps to avoid augmentation (adding bone).

Implantation follows healing, the length of which depends on the type of implant and other factors. Healing usually takes between 2 and 4 months. Then an impression is taken and a crown is fabricated. In most cases, we do so called screw-retained crowns that are screwed with a titanium screw to the implant. Such crown can be removed by the doctor, for example for cleaning it. Another advantage is that there is no risk of leaving the cement under the gums leading to inflammation and implant failure.

The implants are very similar to the teeth, and the aesthetic result is great. You chew on implants like on your own teeth. Thorough dental hygiene using a toothbrush and special dental floss ensures a long-lasting aesthetic and functional result.
